CIGAR-B-QUE Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Wounded Warrior Project?

- The Wounded Warrior Project is a 501(c)(3) charity. Its mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors, to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

Do I have to register in advance?

- Advance registration is highly recommend to guarantee your admission. If we don't sell out in advance a limited number of tickets will be available at the door while they last.

Do I have to be a member of STAR to attend?

- No, this event is open to all who wish to support our Wounded Warriors.

Is Cigar-B-Que an official STAR sanctioned event?

- No, but we ran it by STAR International before we scheduled the event to assure that it complies with the mission and values of STAR and does not conflict with any official STAR Days activities.

What if I don't like cigars?

- While Cigar-B-Que is unapologetically a cigar smoking event, provision has been made for non-smokers. Non-smokers may dine in the covered outdoor beer garden and much fellowship will be occurring outside. We'll have a dart game with prizes set up outside as well. Smoking is allowed inside the facility and it is well-ventilated. Still, if you are an anti-smoker or suffer from smoke allergies, this event is probably not for you. If cigars aren't your thing, we would like for you to consider helping our wounded warriors by helping us spread the word or volunteering to help at the shuttle stops or handle ticket sales outside at the event.

May children attend?

- We have made what provision we can for children and they are welcome to attend, however please be aware that the venue is a smoking-allowed facility. Tennessee law prohibits anyone under age 21 to enter the building (exception allowed for restroom breaks only). Children may dine in the outdoor beer garden and participate in dart games outside.

How will Cigar-B-Que raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project?

- Half ($10) of each Cigar-B-Que ticket and 100% of the proceeds from billiard and dart games/tournament entry fees go directly to WWP. 20% of all Rocky Patel box and sampler pack cigar sales will be donated.

Will meal-only (no cigar) tickets be available for non-smokers and children?

- This is a one-price event which includes a meal and a cigar. Obviously we won't be handing out cigars to minors! Minors and non-smokers are free to convey/barter their ticket for their cigar to any of the eager participants of legal age in attendance.

Who are the event sponsors and what are their contributions?

  • North Richmond, Virginia STAR Chapter 440 is the event organizer

What kind of prizes can I expect to win for tournaments, games and door prizes?

- Absolutely! We encourage you to take advantage of the special pricing! Send some home to friends! The more you buy, the more we raise for WWP!

Where is the Chattanooga Billiard Club, Banquet and Conference Center?

- 110 Jordan Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421 Please don't drink and ride, we'd rather you wear your helmet on the van, close your eyes and pretend. We'll even make "vroom-vroom" noises for you. We draw the line at "potato-potato".

Chattanooga Billiard Club has another location 1 mile from the Choo Choo. Why not hold the Cigar-B-Que there?

- This location does not have banquet facilities, but it does have a cigar shop that you are encouraged to patronize!

Will there be special deals on cigars for STAR members for the duration of STAR Days?

- Yes! Both Chattanooga Billiard Club locations will offer box and bundle specials on Rocky Patel cigars purchased July 19 - 23. Just tell the tobacconist you want to purchase cigars to help the Wounded Warrior Project. Fill your saddlebags for your friends back home! They'll get the event specials and help the Wounded Warrior Project too!
